I enjoy day hikes, photography, reading, and technology. My wife Wendy and I work in the Bartlesville Public Schools in northeast Oklahoma, but this blog is outside the scope of our employment.
Thank you for sharing your photos & hiking adventures. I have come across your photos a few times using Google searches to find hiking destinations in northeast Oklahoma. It is sad (and strange) that there seems to be so few hiking destinations around the Tulsa area.
My family has visited Osage Hills once before. During this trip we completed the Creek Loop. Everything was dormant, but it was still nice. The park seemed to have great potential for spring and fall family hiking. I am looking forward to revisiting Osage Hills State Park soon.
Osage Hills State Park holds so many memories from my own childhood. My family would camp there and we would go on nature scavenger hunts. My mom would give my sister and I a list to hunt from and then we would all go on an all day hike. Later that evening…we would lay out our treasures and talk about them.
When I bought my first camera, a brownie at a neighbors garage sale, my first pics were taken at the falls on one of our camping trips. My mother framed the pictures and hung them in our den.
Many baptisms were performed at the falls during church camp that’s held in July. Church camp was the highlight of my Summers growing up….so much fun. Thank you for the memories.

Thanks again!
