Ice Storm 2007
We’re socked in again this year, but this time it is ice instead of an 11″ snow. I only lost power for a bit over four hours early this morning, but I’m worried about my poor Cherry Laurel tree. The poor thing is bent completely over by the ice.

The new Star Trek: The Original Series – Season One Remastered HD/DVD discs are simply stunning. They reinvigorate the classic original series with fantastic new effects, crystal clear images, and color that will knock your socks off. The DVDs look great, but you really owe it to yourself to go buy a sub-$200 HD-DVD player and watch the shows in high-definition. You’ll go where you’ve never gone before!

I’ve had this shot on the wall of my classroom for almost two decades, but I was never sure which hydrogen bomb test it was from. Turns out it was the Canopus test by France in 1968 over the Fangataufa atoll. I found out because Flickr member Pierre J. posted some images of the test.
